steemit

I published some posts on a website called steemit in 2017. Unfortunately, my steemit account is one of the top results on search engines when searching for my name or online usernames. I am writing this post as I have changed significantly as a person in the last 7 years.

These posts were written with the primary intent of making money. The platform pays its cryptocurrency out to users when their posts are engaged with. As a result, I was pandering to the steemit audience. If you read other posts on the platform, especially posts written in 2017, you'll find that holds true for nearly all users since there was a financial incentive to do so. I am deeply embarrassed by my decision to engage in this.

The tone of my posts on steemit is childish and I regret publishing each one. The fundamental ideas may have merit but the delivery is inappropriate and self-aggrandizing. I haven't engaged in poltical or philosophical discourse publicly for many years and have no intention of changing that in the future. I do not identify with any of the labels that I used to describe myself on steemit.
